Game thoughts!

Beckett absolutely dominated this game. Seven solid innings pitched as he struck out eight and only allowed the two solo home runs. The man has became an ace right in front of our eyes and should be a joy to watch the next few years.

A standard step was taken this game, as the starter went seven followed by Okajima in the eighth and the Bot in the ninth. Bot allowed the first hit against him in 40+ at bats but only threw 13 pitches to seal the deal. The rest that Okajima had gotten seemed to do him good also as he allowed no hits in his 10 pitches.

The winning rally was started by J.D. in the eighth and he followed with a stolen base and moved to third on Varitek's fly ball to center. Crisp got the key hit with a single to center plating Drew. Good to see two of the players who have been favorite whipping boys this year make the game winning hits.

The season series with the Orioles is now complete with the Sox winning 12 of the 18 games.

Player watch:
Lugo DNP
Crisp 1/4 .269
Drew 1/3 .254
♊ - Morbid and creepifing I can handle as long as we do it quiet like.
