From MLB.Com Scouting Report

Red Sox: Matsuzaka is in a groove. He's given up just five runs over his past four outings and despite getting a total of four runs of support, has won his past two starts. Dice-K is 5-3 on the road this season and has already faced the Mariners twice in his fledgling Major League career, posting an 0-1 record and a 7.50 ERA against them.

Mariners: On Friday, in just his fifth Major League start, Feierabend was roughed up by the Reds, allowing nine earned runs on six hits in 2 2/3 innings of work, nearly doubling his ERA. He struggled with his command throughout the contest, walking five and yielding two homers. The 21-year-old earned his first big-league win on June 3, allowing four earned runs in 7 1/3 innings against the Rangers.

As usual all statistics were found at the day by day database at Baseball Musings and this year at Baseball Reference.

As you can see there is no history against this guy since he has never faced the Red Sox in his 4 months of service in the Majors. Usually, that means the offense will struggle, but Matsuzaka should be used to that by now.

Daisuke has had one outstanding game vs the Mariners but lost when King Felix pitched his 1 hitter earlier this year. The second time he faced the Mariners he got the no decision but walked a ton of players. Look for Daisuke to continue to pitch well. This game will come down to how well the offense does.

Chow!
