The recap after the game will be here.

From MLB.Com Scouting Report:

Red Sox: Wakefield faces a familiar foe, albeit for the first time this season. This will be career appearance No. 43 lifetime for Wakefield against the Yankees. At Yankee Stadium, Wakefield is 5-5 with a 3.18 ERA. Wakefield is the only member of the Boston rotation to go 4-for-4 thus far in quality starts. In his last start, he gave up eight hits and three earned runs to the Blue Jays over six innings of a loss.

Yankees: Karstens gets his second crack in a week at the Red Sox, who trounced him pretty handily in a Saturday effort at Fenway Park. Making his season debut after a bout with right elbow tendinitis, Karstens allowed seven runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings to Boston, with David Ortiz collecting four RBIs via a double and a homer. The Yankees opted to go with Karstens over lefty Kei Igawa, who will miss one turn through the rotation to work on his command.

As usual all statistics were found at the day by day database at Baseball Musings and this year at Baseball
Reference
.

Since Karstens just pitched last week at Boston no expected batters against today. Instead just go to the box score from last week and see for yourself all of his previous work.

As for the Historical Pitching lines I have a breakdown of Wakefield as a starter in Yankee Stadium and overall vs the Yankees.

In his last 5 starts at Yankee stadium he has given up 0, 2, 4, 1 and 3 earned runs. The 1 run game was a complete game that he lost, if memory serves me right to Randy Johnson. Tim is a stud at Yankee stadium. We have a real good chance of making this 5 in a row if Tim doesn't get his usual non support from the offense.

Cheers.
